EU Widens Sanctions Against Burma

On Monday 15 October, we won a partial victory – the 27 EU Foreign Ministers agreed to place trade and investment bans on the generals' timber, mining and gemstone interests, and to prepare further measures depending on whether the brutality stops and progress is made toward dialogue and democratic transition. Thanks to everyone who took action and signed the AVAAZ petition!
